Mike Stokely
Graduated from Loganville High and one year at Georgia Military College. Mike was a Cavalry Scout with Troop E of the 108th Cavalry and served five plus years in the Georgia National Guard 48th Brigade. Mike was killed in Action by a Roadside bomb on August 16, 2005 near Yusufiyah Iraq and was age 23
Wes Stokely
Age 20 graduated from Northgate High School and is a Welder with Yamaha in Newnan
Abbey Stokely
Age 16 and is a rising junior at Northgate High School, with firm plans to pursue advanced college degrees
Graduated Stockbridge High School in Henry County, 1971
Graduated from Georgia State University with a BA degree in 1976
Graduated Atlanta Law School with a Juris Doctrate and Master of Law Degree in 1990
Worked full-time and paid his own way through college and law school
17 plus years with Atlanta Gas Light Company from 1974 – 1991
Opened a full-time law practice in late 1991 and moved to Newnan in late 1992
In 1996 Robert joined the Coweta County Solicitor’s Office as a part-time Assistant Solicitor in charge of the office’s new Victim-Witness Program
Became the first full-time Assistant Solicitor for Coweta County in 1997
Promoted to be the first Chief Assistant Solicitor in early 1998 and then Acting Solicitor in May 1998.
On August 14, 1998 Robert was sworn in as Solicitor, having been appointed by Governor Zell Miller to succeed former Solicitor John Herbert Cranford who had been appointed to be the State Court Judge
Chairperson of Bravo 2/121 Family Readiness Group for the Newnan National Guard Armory and will be working with the soldiers and their families during the coming deployment to Afghanistan. A critical area of this responsibility is if a soldier is wounded or killed, Robert will be the primary civilian contact to stand by and assist the family during that crisis.
Robert and his family are committed and active members of Crossroads Church and have been for over 12 years.

Robert is on the Board of Directors of the Coweta County Emergency Food and Shelter Board
Robert is on the Sheltering Arms Pregnancy Crisis and Assistance Center for South Metro Atlanta
Robert originated and personally sponsored the start-up of High School Mock Trial teams at all three Coweta High Schools
and is currently working with local educators to host the 2009 Mock Trial Regional Competition to Coweta County
Robert is a member of the Century Club for Cornerstone Methodist Annual Bar-b-que
Robert works with a host of other events and groups week in and week out to help them raise money for their
projects
