I write you today about an important election for Solicitor in the Coweta County Republican Primary on July 15, 2008. I have known Robert Stokely for ten plus years. He is a loyal, hardworking Republican who shows up when others need help, and supports our party in so many ways. He puts up signs, he knocks on doors, he makes phone calls, and he gives his money so that Coweta, Georgia and America can be represented by those of true Republican principles. Robert Stokely is a dedicated Christian, husband and father and as a good friend you can ever hope to have. He has integrity that you can trust and believe in, and you will find him active in many community events and charities week in and week out.
With all of these good things I say above about Robert, I can also tell you he is a very good attorney who gave up a private law practice because he wanted to serve the public as a prosecutor in the State Court of Coweta County. His expertise as a prosecutor, especially in the area of prosecuting misdemeanor DUI cases is very well known and respected. So well respected in fact, that recently the District Attorney of the Coweta County Judicial Circuit, Peter J. Skandalakis, recently appointed Robert as a Special Assistant District Attorney to assist his office in prosecuting felony DUI cases, including the cases that become felonies under Georgia House Bill 336 that takes effect July 1, 2008. Robert is tough on DUI, so tough in fact that the big DUI defense firms are trying to get him out of office.
